What is iServe?

iServe is a structured and systematic examination of boiler and heater processes or  operations, to identify and evaluate problems that may pose risk to personnel or equipment, or prevent efficient operations. It is called as HAZOP study.

Basic concept

iServe procedure involves studying of boiler/ heater process and systematically questioning every part of it to establish how deviations from the design can arise.
Critical analysis in a structured way under iServe study avoiding potential failures & problems is unique way to avoid unsafe operation which is not experienced earlier.
An assessment is made as to whether such deviations and their consequences can have a negative effect on safe and efficient operation of the boiler/ heater. If considered necessary, action is then taken to avoid such unsafe operation.

When to perform iServe

iServe study is generally carried out –

  1. while installing new boiler / hot water / Thermic fluid system.
  2.  on existing boilers & heaters when there is,
    • The systems are very old ( more than 5 year) & needs upgradation
    • The system is not studied for any safety hazards in the past
    • Some history of accident or unsafe operation
